enjoy an afternoon watching our fleet compete. The 2013
sailing season has almost come to an end. I’m happy I
survived and I learned many lessons. I'm really looking
forward to continuing the progress we have made this
year. Thank you all for you support.

or regatta because of something I didn’t do or plan for,
there was always our club staff, previous officers or
directors and of course our wonderful members there to
help. I cannot say thank you enough.
The 2013 sailing season was incredibly busy for our race
committees. Over the last twelve months, race
committee volunteers ran twenty-three races or regattas,
including 132 starts and finishes on courses supporting
three club series, thirteen club races, four regional
regattas, and three national championships which
brought us new visitors and friends from far away as
Canada.
Our winter sailing season has begun with the Frosty
Nipple Portsmouth Series. We had nineteen sailors come
out to compete in the first four races. It is no surprise
that Hunter Riddle on his MC Scow leads the pack here
early in the season. There is still some sailing left in the
year. The first race of the 2014 Zevin Series will be held
on Sunday, 8 December 2013.
Don't forget to decorate you boat with lights for the
annual Boat Parade of Lights on Thursday, 19
December. It's always a fun-filled evening with some
awesome chili, too.
