From The Office
The club continues to operate in the black and we have fulfilled all our
financial commitments to the Dock Fund, Capital Improvements Fund,
Building Trust Fund and GYA Boat Fund as well as making all the
required accruals for the year. We have also been able to pay down some
of the shortfalls to those funds from prior years. March is shaping up to
be a fabulous month for the club as well. The J-22’s pumped revenue into
the club as well as West Point Founders Day, Servis 1st Bank, a
Celebration of Life for our life member, Fred Howard. We also had a large
wedding the last weekend of the month. With Rotary, MOA the FWB
Chamber and Son’s of Italy added to the mix, our monthly sales continue
to grow. The Sunday Brunch on March 31st was one of the biggest we
have had in a while and members are enjoying the food.
We are finalizing a new menu that will be released on April 16th. There
are many great additions and quite a few deletions of slow selling items.
We are hopeful that you come try the new items and help support the
hard working staff in the dining room and kitchen.
We were able to get some work completed on the dry storage road and
stabilized some areas prior to the J-22’s coming in. Additional repairs will
continue throughout the month. The quote for the repairs to the docks
has been approved and the last of the damage incurred during Michael will
soon be completed.
We have a new copier in the office and it is easy to use. If you have any
copying that needs to be done just put your document in the tray or under
the glass and push the bright blue button. If you have a particularly
complicated task, check with Sandra and she will show you how to use it.
It has the functions of the old machine, plus some new features to help
efficiency in the office .
Wednesday Night racing starts in less than a month, so the club is getting
ready to get even busier. We have over ten special events planned at the
club already for the month of April as well as Rotary, MOA, the Chamber
and Sons of Italy.
You will be seeing some new faces at the club as we continue to try and
improve the team working to please you, our members.
Hope to see all of you here enjoying the club.
