FWYC Letter Log April 2017 | Page 2

M any of you may not be aware that periodically a “fleet” of FWYC boaters (both power & sail) depart our fine marina to enjoy a weekend at a different port or at anchor in a chosen nearby area. In addition to these overnighters, we have attempted to or- ganize weeklong sojourns that have become known as the Spring Fling and Fall Fling. These permit us to travel further (east or west) and enjoy more venues along the Emerald Coast. This year, Paul Yergens has agreed to help organize these activities. The dates for the Spring Fling have been set for May 6th through the 13th and will be heading west. To further plan the logistics of this Fling and to explore weekend group plans, he has scheduled a meeting for Thursday, April 6th in the Castaway Room. If you have an interest in these types of events, plan to attend and to provide your inputs. If you cannot attend, but do have a desire to participate in any of these types of events, please let Paul know so he can include you on future emails.
