Author Angella Ricot stopped by Fuzionz Magazine and TV to talk about her latest book Sahara. Angella is not new to the writing industry, as she released her first collection, Mirror of Souls, through Authorhouse, in 2004. Outside of being an Author, she describes herself as being a devoted mother, a loveable daughter, a caring sister, a faithful friend for those who know her well. The Author also states, “I love all things beautiful.” Angella says she has been writing ever since she can remember. She received her inspiration to become a writer in an English class in College when another student was boasting about her aspiration to become a writer and the professor identified Angella by stating, “She’s the writer.” When asked what has been the biggest challenge(s) that she has faced as a writer, this is what she had to say, “The fact that English was not my first language was a huge barrier. But when there’s a will there’s a way and that was not going to stop me.”

Angella told us that Poetry is her first love. As mentioned earlier, she released her first collection Mirror of Souls in 2004. The Author states that her latest book Sahara came to her in a dream. It is currently in production with Authorhouse and it is scheduled to come out this summer. It is a story of betrayal that involves love, lust, money and politics. Above all it is a story of survival. She says her family has been a tremendous source of support for her.

We asked Angella to tell us something that everyone should know about her and this is what she had to say, “I am actually multilingual. I speak four different languages: English, Spanish, French and Creole. Her advice to young people who are interested in the world of journalism/creative writing is, “Follow your dream and define your own path. Go be the next Shakespeare!” Her words of inspiration and encouragement to all is, “Be the best you can be. Don’t let anything stop you.

Angella’s books are available in both paperback and e-book at Barnes & Noble and Amazon.com. Purchase your copy of Sahara, today.
