John was indeed finding his way into the Hip Hop process. Wearing the moniker Res Regol, accompanied by his unique style of writing, he was able to produce music for Rodney Fancher, "Judgement Day;" and "Street Thang," for David Hill. He also wrote and produced "Nature Girl." After attending the Million Man March in Washington, DC, John would later write and produce "The Gees In DC."

John told us that he was invited to a studio one day, with Quis Money and Top Knotch, but would end up, unknowingly, listening to himself on Quis' Money's hit "I Need Money," produced by Stix and Fold/Up.
