John Jenkins is from St. Paul, Minnesota. The eighteen year old says his biggest inspiration is former NBA basketball player, Allen Iverson "because he was an example of no matter what happens in your life if you want something bad enough then there should be nothing getting in your way of getting it." John says he plays basketball and likes it just because it is a very competitive sport and it's something that he always feels comfortable doing. "Since I was a kid it's been my passion, I wanted to play in the NBA," says John. His favorite sports team is the Los Angeles Lakers.
Besides basketball John just hangs out with friends or occasionally play video games.
"After I leave the college I am at I would like to go to the University of Minnesota or go to the University of Kentucky,"he says.
One of John's most exciting moments was being able to participate in a basketball tournament that was held in Chicago.
John says if he could change one thing on this earth, the world would not be all about money and people wouldn't have to focus on money as much as being happy.
