Q: Tel our readers a little about you.

A: I have a motto that says: It’s ever too late to be great. I started my road to living at the age of 36, which was the year I was delivered from alcohol and drugs. From then to now, I received my GED, obtained my Bachelor’s degree, license in Social Work, managed several multi-level marketing businesses, and produced my own Internet Radio show. I sit on two Boards of Directors and am very active in the community.

Q: At what age did you start writing? Please include your motivation or inspiration behind wanting to write.

A: I began writing in elementary school; however I was discouraged by some people whom I respected. So I put the pen down. I was 60 years old when I picked it back up. My motivation was after I spoke on a Google Hangout hosted by the late Paulette Stevens. I told my personal story and was encouraged to put my story on paper. It was then I started writing again and had a chapter included in the Anthology entitled Success and Beauty, The Secrets to Effortless Fulfillment and Happiness. This book got the juices really flowing and I began writing my solo book entitled Oh How He Loves Me, Reflections of God’s Love For Me and For You. Oh How He Loves Me launched on my 62nd birthday. Both books became International Best Sellers.

Q: What types of stories do you write?

A: So far I have written personal biographies with emphasis on how God has worked in my life.

Q: As an author, what has been your biggest challenges?

A: Honestly, I have not seen any huge challenges. The thing I have had to work on the most has been time management and setting my priorities in order.

Q: Tell us about your latest book and what motivated you to write it. Please include how you came up with the title.

A: My latest and first solo book is Oh How He Loves Me, Reflections of God’s Love For Me and For You. After Success and Beauty, I knew that there was something in me, there were life experiences that the world needed to read. The title was given to me spiritually. One day I was pondering on how and exactly what I was going to write. I started praying and praising God for all He had and was doing in my life. The title became clear as day, Oh How He Loves Me. From there the format and the content came easy.

Q: What audience do you mainly target when writing?

A: I believe that my deliverance from alcohol and drugs was the ultimate evidence of God’s love for me. My deliverance gave me hope that I could conquer anything with God by my side. I learned through my life experiences while being addicted that no matter how low I had became, God still loved me and had never given up on me. It is my prayer that my readers are those who have thought about giving up and need encouragement to keep going. I hope that when they read my story they can again believe in something greater than themselves. My hope is that those who have gone through similar experiences never forget where they came from and always be there to help someone else.

Q: What advice would you give to those who are inspired to write?

A: When you think that you can’t take another step, breathe another breath, step and breathe just one more time and see the real strength in you. See that you have more power than you ever thought you had. And that you can do all things through Christ you gives you that strength. You have a story inside of you and someone needs to read it.
