Fuzionz: Where you all were born and raised and what was it like growing up in a musically inclined family?

Evelyn: We were born in the Bronx, New York, raised in Philadelphia.

Johnny: What was it like growing up in a musically inclined family? It’s been a dream, first of all. Not everybody is born into the same situation as ours, but regardless to what situation you’re born into, you can still identify or you can still kind of peek into somebodies world, if they’re your best friend or neighbor. So I can image what it’s like not to be in a musical family. I know from the outside looking in, my friends must have seen that it was a lot of togetherness, as we come from a large family. When you have a whole lot of musicians and when you have that one thing that kind of bonds, besides love, you have that vocation that binds, like the love of music. It’s like someone who is born into a sports family, it allows us to walk in the same beat to share the same common interest because of our love for music. It was amazing to be born into a musical family. You could be asked at any time to get up in front of others in the living room for amateur night.

Evelyn: We had King Amateur Night.

Johnny: One of our brothers died in 1974 and we had our own built in basketball team. Our father used to make us sing Float On by The Floaters. Everybody had their own part.
