Renowned CEO and business Mogul, Peggy Dodson is definitely the epitome of success. The Arkansas native’s determination and hard work as paid off, as she is the President/CEO of UBC-TV Network. It is no surprise. At the young age of 14, Peggy helped her mother launch their family business, Dodson’s Diner. Her father also owned a successful plumbing business, in which Peggy helped with the bookkeeping.

The show captured the attention of a viewing audience of over 326,000 households. This was only Ms. Dodson’s beginning. She developed “Pathway to Success,” an empowerment program and also hosted “World Beat,” a show which she created. For over four years, the television show aired on Time Warner Cable in New York City and surrounding areas, to millions of households.
Ms. Dodson moved back to New York, where she became very active in the Harlem Community. She was appointed by Manhattan Borough President, C. Virginia Fields, to serve on the Community Board 10 as Chair of the Arts & Culture and Tourism committee. In March 2000, Ms. Dodson received the NAACP’s prestigious “Women Making History” award. She was featured on the cover of ‘Black Enterprise Magazine’ in 2002 and was also a featured speaker on Tavis Smiley’s ‘Blacks in Technology’ tour that traveled across America. Ms. Dodson is the first African American woman to Executive Produce NCAA Football, taking Florida A&M to national live broadcast in millions of households.
Ms. Dodson’s road to success has led her to create and develop The Urban Broadcasting Company; UBC-TV Network, the first ever national broadcasting company that is developed, owned, operated and created by an African American Woman. UBC-TV is a Harlem, New York based broadcast multi-media company which appeals to urban multi-cultural audiences. Ms. Dodson and UBC-TV has presently entered into numerous mega agreements that will begin to propel UBC-TV into the national spotlight in 2015.
