narrowly missing yet another undefeated season by a 1 point loss in the first game. (They later avenged that single loss in a 17 point victory.) Consistency has been the main focus of this tournament season and they are exhibiting that extremely well. They have won several local tournaments early this tournament season and been in a position to win all others by making the championship. They are currently chasing better outcomes from last year in the larger tournaments and have done so in the Spring Hype tournament with a championship of the Gold division, and a Top 14 finish in the Platinum division of the Allstate NOLA Super 60. The team came back the following weekend and took care of home court by adding the OFY – Back to Summer Shootout to their resume of championships. Mighty Kings 2022 Elite recently returned from Tulsa, Oklahoma the weekend of June 20-21 where they achieved a final 4 finish facing some fiercely competitive teams from Kansas, Missouri, Oklahoma, and Texas.

With a few more local tournaments as warm ups, and a summer league season approaching, Mighty Kings 2022 Elite will be on the horizon of 2 National Tournaments births in late July. They have ambitions to display the progress they have made over the past year and improve their position and level of respect not only in Texas Basketball, but across the country. How will the games go? Will they win or lose? Only time will tell, but their dedication to “The Process” will produce players with longevity in the sport, high work ethic, respect for the game, true understanding of teamwork, high basketball IQ, lifelong friends and a LOT of memories.
