With the demands of career, children, and just every day life in general who has time for fitness?
Just adjusting the way you eat and taking a little bit of time out of your busy schedule to
incorporate a routine 30 minutes a day will keep you lean, in shape, and feeling energetic! Check
out these daily exercise, health tips, and recipes to help get you from drab to fab!
Try This Healthy & Quick Recipe:
Getting in Exercise:
CHICKEN SAUSAGE, SPINACH, AND MUSHROOM QUICHE
INGREDIENTS:
1 UNBAKED PIE SHELL
3 LARGE EGGS
1/2 CUP PEPPER JACK CHEESE
2 DICED CHICKEN SAUSAGE LINKS (HILLSHIRE FARMS CHICKEN, APPLE,
AND GOUDA)
1/2 CHOPPED YELLOW ONION
1/2 DICED BUTTON MUSHROOMS
1/2 DICED SWEET RED BELL PEPPER
1 CUP OF HALF AND HALF
PARSLEY TO TASTE
SALT TO TASTE
OLIVE OIL
*Try 30 Minutes on the treadmill a day to get in cardio
to help get your heart rate up and burn calories, and
deliver oxygen rich blood to your working muscles
*If there is a track close by at your nearest school or a
jogging trail at your local park, for about 30 minutes
jog or power walk with a buddy to help keep you
motivated.
Ways to stay motivated:
DIRECTIONS:
PREHEAT OVEN TO 400.
IN 2 TBSP OF OLIVE OIL SAUTEE THE ONIONS, MUSHROOMS, AND BELL
PEPPER. THEN ADD THE SAUSAGE AND HEAT THROUGH. DRAIN
EXCESS OIL AND SET ASIDE. THEN IN A BOWL WHISK THE EGGS AND
HALF AND HALF TOGETHER. ADD THE PARSLEY AND SALT. WHISK
GOOD. THEN ADD THE SAUSAGE MIXTURE AND POUR INTO PIE SHELL.
COOK FOR ABOUT 25 MINUTES.
-Treat yourself to a low fat latte or reward after a long run.
-Listen to some upbeat tunes to stay motivate.
-Bring a friend along.
-Keep track of your daily weight loss and a fitness chart.
*Health Tip*
Drink about (40 grams) equivalent to 4-6 Heaping Tsp of Raw Cocoa powder in hot water through out the day to reduce free
radicals over time. To make it a little sweeter add Stevia (a great alternative sweetener to sugar), cinnamon, half and half, and
marshmallows and enjoy.
