Artist Clarence Pointer

Clarence Pointer is a professional pencil artist. He has been drawing for over 40 years. The gifted and talented artist's work is priceless, as he takes his talents to another level through a pencil. You heard it right, a pencil. When I first saw his art, I was speechless. Check out our brief interview with “The Pencilman.”

Q What has been your biggest challenge as an artist?

A My biggest challenge has been achieving a photorealistic level in my medium, capturing the lifelike images that will appeal to the masses.

Q Since your last interview with Fuzionz, what has transpired with your artwork?

A I have been appointed the artist to exclusively indefinitely feature artwork on the cover of www.sportlifemagazine.com, selected to create a drawing for a Luther Vandross and Paul McCartney tribute events, have had artwork displayed in the White House and appointed a premier artist for the Dallas Cowboys.

Q Have you been involved in charitable events?

A I have donated artwork to numerous charities to use as fundraiser items.

Q If someone wanted become an artist, where would they begin?

A Clarence had this advice to give to those who are interested in pursuing a career in art: “If they feel they have the gift, just practice

and pray for patience. When pursuing art as a profession, just be ready when the opportunity presents itself. Get involved in all local community activities, which will lead to bigger ones. You will eventually begin to get people interest in your style of artwork which will give you even more pleasure in creating.” His words of inspiration to all is: “Never buy into someone telling you what you can or cannot do. You are in charge of your own destiny."
