Back in 1996, a determined, young entrepreneuer started a magazine called Black Entertainment (BEM), which was the vehicle of recognition for black celebrities. This magazine became a household name within the black community and continously grew. It's creator, is none other than James Thomas Sr. Thomas is no stranger to the Media/Entertainment world. Prior to starting BEM, he started a magazine called Style One, in 1995, which was short lived, but he pushed forward. He also owned his own beauty supply store in which he put out a newsletter that attracted the attention of many, due to a soap opera which he had incorporated into the publication. Thomas immediately knew that writing was his calling.

As a prominent figure in the media world, the renowned CEO still wears many hats. One of which is his dedication to his Red Letter Agency PR firm, which is working its way to becoming one of the most influential PR firms in the world. Check out our interview with Mr. Thomas:
