Actor Nathan Kress made an appearance on stage at the Aratani Japaness Theater, as a Presenter for the 12th Annual 168 Film Festival, in downtown Los Angeles (244 S. San Pedro Street). He also walked the red carpet at the 168KIDS event with youth, ages 5-15. The red carpet was held from 5:30pm-7pm, followed by the Awards Show, 7:30pm-9pm. Local kids had an opportunity to take photos with Kress, on the red carpet, which was the highlight. This was the first ever kids event held by the 168 Film Festival. Kress is best known for his role as Freddie Bronson on the popular hit show iCarly and he also co-stars in the tornado thriller Into the Storm.
The event took place on Saturday, September 13th at 10am to 12:30pm and was hosted by 168 Film, an international celebration of faith in film. 168KIDS was designed to give young people an opportunity to be VIPs for a day, as part of 168 Film’s special festival programming. The event was a fun family event which featured kid-friendly films, games, food and the special red carpet walk.
Other participants in the event included celebs Carmina Garay (React To That), Nay Nay Kirby (Who’s Watching the Kids), Noah Dahl (Mr. & Mrs. Smith), Mandalynn Carlson (Machine Gun Preacher), Kiana Lyz Rivera (Immigrant) and Tara-Nicole Azarian (It’s Supernatural).
