Fuzionz: Tell me about your latest book and what inspired you to write it.

Otelia: Four friends from Planet Earth must save three planets. Those three planets include Earth and two fictional planets, Nomina and Oceanna. Two out of the four friends fall for each other; thus, causing a ripple effect, breaking free an evil being so powerful that the planet he came from sealed him away inside of EARTH’S CORE. But little does the friends and the evil being know that they are just pawns in someone else’s plan.

The reason why I had decide to write this novel is because I kept having dreams. Yeah, it does sound cliché’, you could say, but I kept having these dreams about space. Mind the fact that I love the moon and the stars; space in general. So, one day I woke up and started writing. I wrote and then rewrote over and over until Star Crossed Fighters was completed.

Fuzionz: Are you involved with any charitable events?

Otelia: No, not at this very moment right now. Once my novel or novels get up and running I will give back. I’ve always wanted to do that anyway.

Fuzionz: Are you working on any current projects?

Otelia: I am working on my next novel called The Hybrids of Cain. It’s an awesome story to me so far.

Fuzionz: Who has been the biggest inspiration in your life?

Otelia: My sons little sister (who is by the way 15 years old. Her name is Ruby), my little brother (he is 18, and his name is Barry), family and very close friends. They encourage me to pursue my dreams of being an author and to be an artist, as well. I can’t just pick one person to be the biggest inspiration in my life. I don’t have favorites. It just can’t happen.

Fuzionz: What advice would you give to any upcoming authors (especially our young authors)?

Otelia: Never give up and keep trying, no matter what people say. Like Dory says “When life gets you down, just keep swimming.”

Fuzionz: Please give us one of your favorite quotes or scriptures.

Otelia: “Never leave the one you love for the one you like, for the one you like will leave you for the one they love.”
