Leon - “Fans are good, you can’t live without them. It always feels good to be on the red carpet. When you’re on the red carpet, it means you’re celebrating something."
Monty Alexander - “It is a big, big thrill, a big honor. I was watching Soul Train way back when. I’m a jazz pianist, who made an album and enjoyed recording it. I was invited to come and enjoy this gathering. I’m very happy about that."
Toonz We Are - "It’s a blessing to be on the red carpet. We thought the Soul Train Awards were over, but they brought it back a few years ago and now we will actually be on stage. It’s a blessing."
We met up with Stephen C. Bishop, on the carpet. He is best known for his role in Being Mary Jane. In our interview with Bishop, he told us that there will be some great guest stars in season two, so the season will be great. “We have the same writers, along with some new talented writers. Regina King directed a couple of episodes. We’re still growing strong and I think people are really going to like this season."
Ivy Levan - "My album is coming out next spring. It’s been two years in the making. I have an EP which I released last year. It’s amazing being a new artist and putting a new album out. It feels great to be on the red carpet and it’s never boring. I’m looking forward to seeing Lil Kim perform."
