Gatsby Benchmarks: articulating the challenges More than 18 months into the government's Careers Strategy, we asked careers leaders around the country which of the benchmarks is proving most difficult to attain. ANNA HALL CAREERS LEAD, JOHN HANSON COMMUNITY SCHOOL, HAMPSHIRE Toughest benchmark: 3 — Addressing the needs of each pupil There are always going to be some students, no matter what you do, who are just not going to be interested in careers information. The disengaged kids and their parents are difficult to get to and if you don’t get buy-in from the parents, it’s just harder all round.
