On the fourfth day we were with our guests in Vilkyškiai dairy. The dairys‘s workers told us a short
information about the dairy, how many people work here and what they produce. We were able to
try different types of cheeses. After theoretical part we had a chance to see how it works. It was
really interesting to see robots, the big fridges of cheeses. After all we visited a little shop near the
dairy and here we bought some products. After the educational visit to the dairy, we went for a
walk to Vilkyškiai viewpoint. There we could enjoy the view of Lithuanian nature and small
Vilkyškiai town from a few meters height.
Besides travelling to nearby places, Comenius project’s participants meaningfully shared their time
in our school. On the third day there were several workshops, called “Culture shock”. The
participants had to go around Pagėgiai in groups, visiting cafes, from library to health clinics,
municipality’s government. After that, they had to prepare short presentations, that answered the
day’s main question: “What could a foreigner do here, if he wanted to stay for a while?” The next
day our art teacher V. Kariniauskienė and technology teacher V. Gečas prepared some art
workshops, splitting us into two groups. The smaller group made some leather brooches for
themselves, while the other group had to make their one-of-a-kind, symbolized weathercocks. Since
the fourth day was the last one to have workshops, the participants of this project met up the same
evening for a celebration, for a disco. The project overall was great and left us with many nice
memories.
On Wednesday we were in Klaipeda and we visited Old Town. A guide showed and told everything
about the history of Klaipeda‘s Old Town. In excursion we learned a lot about Klaipeda. Everybody
liked excursion.
