We visited the school and we could see the greenhouses where students have their practice, as well as the market inside the school where natural products (oil, wine, vegetables) are sold.
The afternoon continued with a visit to a successful local business "La Signora Melanzana" Ortonatura, a five-generation business in which parents, grandparents, children, grandchildren work together. Brothers Luigi and Fabio Alessandrello, after an experience in the agricultural sector, have created a cooperative, trying to develop an eggplant production system, then tomatoes, focusing on quality rather than quantity. All this has been possible by reducing chemical interventions, plant protection products to produce the most natural products. It was intended to protect human health and the environment.
Day 3, Trip to Syracuse - March 21
On the third day of the mobility, we had a cultural activity in Syracuse.
