In the Erasmus + project in Italy, Vittoria we discussed nutrition and healthy life. It all started with a plane trip from Iasi to Catania, a city close to our destination, Vittoria. On the first day, each of us tried to find souvenirs for friends and family. All that Saturday, we visited the town near Etna, a place where we met a few Romanians who were probably working there. The next morning, we headed for Vittoria. When we arrived, we were surrounded by a large group of people, made up of the families with whom we were supposed to spend a fantastic week. I met everyone there, but at first we did not feel at ease, even if the people were very nice and welcoming because it was a

different culture, and not all parents knew English, so that technology was our help. I think I integrated myself very well, especially because I was loved by the first smell by Willi, the family puppy, or Scooby-Doo, as friends call him.

In my opinion, the most nice and funny moment was when I met the grandmother, then I heard for the first time the word "giugiuleino" and as the Italian language is very similar to the Romanian language I thought she wanted to kiss me, giugiuleasca, as all Italians salute, but in fact "giugiuleino" is a traditional Sicilian cake. When I explained to them what it means in

Romanian, every time we met someone, my new friend Simone, with whom I lived, called me "giugiuleino" in memory of that moment. I enjoyed the atmosphere at school very much: everyone was jolly and was trying to socialize with us, even if they were not part of the Erasmus project. In the activities of this project we have learned how to live a healthier life through a more natural diet and practising sport effectively. The last day of these weeks has been for many of us one of the most excited days of our lives because then we had to break up and leave the families and friends we have attached so much. I'm glad I participated in this project and I hope one day I can rejoin those wonderful people!
