Which Witch?

This book starts with
the birth of Arriman the
Awful who is soon to
become the greatest
wizard in the North.
Arriman realises that
he will need an heir
to continue his reign
of evilness. When the
Wizard Watcher fails to
find a wizard, Arriman is
forced to marry a witch
in the village to make
sure he has an heir. And
so the story begins…
First, Arriman and his
companions call for
all the witches in the
village. He brings them
together and they begin
a contest. In the group of
witches there was: Ethel,
a ground witch whose
familiar is a pig; the
Shouter twins, whose
familiars are chickens;
Mabel, a sea witch, who
had a familiar who’s an
octopus; and Mother
Bloodwort with a bowl of
maggots that turned into
a big crowd of flies by
blowing on them. All of

black witches and
use black magic
and there’s only
one white witch!
She is called
Belladonna.
Belladonna is
sure she won't
win, but then
she finds a little
boy who helps
her with her
magic.
Halfway
through the
contest, an
enchantress
called Madame
Olympia comes
into the competition.
Belladonna is even more
certain she won't win, but
with the help of all her
friends, Madame Olympia
