News from
Potential Plus UK
On October the 26th and 27th, the team of Potential Plus UK were
joined by over 300 people to enjoy our BIG Family Weekend in
Leamington Spa! It was a brilliant success, with children enjoying
activities such as CSI Forensic Whodunit Challenge, Paper Tiger
Rockets, Robot Wars, The Wonderful World of Roald Dahl, Splat!,
Tricky Sticky Shelters, Creature Feature and Spaghetti Structures.
Many of the attendees also attended the evening meal where
everybody played Potential Plus UK’s very own version of Deal or No
Deal! As always, we greatly enjoyed seeing you all and look forward
to hopefully seeing some of you at our next BIG Family Weekend on
the 15th and 16th February 2014 (we will be letting you know where
very soon!).

Autism
How much do you know about Autism? Do you have autism, or maybe know
somebody who does? CBBC’s Newsround has produced some information to
help people understand autism here. They have also produced a short video
to help explain how autism can affect people. You will hear the story of Rosie,
a 13 year old girl who is living with autism, and you will meet several other
children who would like to tell you their story. You can view the video here.
Finally, if you or someone you know has been affected by the issues discussed,
you can find some additional support here. If you have any comments on
the subject or would like us to publish something then please let us know at
[email protected].
