One in four of us as direct sufferers. Here at The Psychiatry Research Trust our sole aim is to raise funds for mental health and brain disease research being carried out at the internationally renowned Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology & Neuroscience (KCL), Bethlem and Maudsley hospitals. We aim to support research by young scientists in a wide range of mental health topics, including Alzheimer's and Motor Neurone Disease, Eating Disorders, Psychotic Illness, Addictions and Childhood Problems Our target is not just to find better treatments for sufferers but also to understand the underlying causes of mental illness and brain disease with the goal of finding means of preventions and cures for these illnesses.
