The Global Fund for Children (GFC) is
dedicated to supporting children in need around the
world. GFC awards grants that support children who are
economically and socially outside the reach of mainstream
services and support, including street children, child
laborers, AIDS orphans, sex workers, hard-to-reach rural
populations, and other vulnerable or marginalized groups.
Funded groups should be community-based and must
work directly with children and youth. GFC does not
fund groups that focus exclusively on advocacy or research,
groups that are not recognized as a non-profit organization
by their local or national government, affiliates of national/
international organizations, or groups whose annual
budget exceeds US $200,000.
