Ingredients
● 2 kilograms of strawberries
● 0,5 kg of sugar
● 100 ml of lemon juice
Preparation
1. Wash and slice the strawberries,
removing the hulls and green tops.
2. Add them to a saucepan, and mix the
sugar in well.
3. Stir frequently over medium heat, and
bring the mixture to a full rolling boil.
4. Once boiling, add the lemon juice.
5. Boil, stirring regularly for about 15
minutes, or until the jam reaches 220F.
(We need to stir often, to make sure the
jam doesn’t burn to the bottom of the
saucepan) .
6. When you reach the right temperature,
carefully pour into sterile jars and allow to
cool to room temperature.
7. Cover and refrigerate.
8. Use within about 2 weeks (if it lasts that
long).
