TRICK #1 Speed Read Add
ADD: 9 + 5 + 7
This may seem like a no brainer, but when some people add numbers, they think to themselves: "9 plus 5 equals 14, 14 + 7 equals 21." It will save you some time if you look at the 9 and 5 and immediately think "14." Then look at the 7 and immediately think "21."
The trick is to speed read through the calculation for this problem thinking "14, 21."
