Winter Produce
Chicago’s Indoor Farmers Markets
Thought farmers markets went into hibernation for the winter? Think again. Come
cold or snow, you can still shop for local, fresh goods and give your kids a taste of the
green scene. Click through our album to find indoor farmstands, including favorites
like Green City Market and Logan Square Market. What you’ll miss in sunshine
you’ll make up for in warm-fuzzies knowing you’re eating healthy and supporting
area vendors and growers. Grab your baskets and go!
GREEN CITY MARKET
PEGGY NOTEBAERT NATURE MUSEUM, 2430 N. CANNON DR.
greencitymarket.org
For the colder months, the market moves indoors
to the Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum, just a
stone’s throw from its usual stomping ground in
Lincoln Park. The market takes place every other
Saturday through Apr. 30 until the outdoor market returns in the spring.
LOGAN SQUARE MARKET
2755 N. MILWAUKEE AVE.

tip:
When visiting your farmers
market or grocer bring your own
reusable bags. You are contributing
to the most basic recycling and
environmental causes by using
cloth and string bags, besides
buying local, and sustainable
grown produce.
