Mark 10 : 51 - 52 Says, And Jesus answered and said unto him, what wilt thou
that I should do unto thee? The blind man
said unto him, Lord, that I might receive
my sight. And Jesus said unto him, Go thy
way; thy faith hath made thee whole. And
immediately he received his sight, and followed Jesus in the way.
When Jesus Said, " Thy faith hath
made thee whole," What did the blind
man receive? The blind man received his
eyesight. Was it only the eyesight? No.
The blind man would get alms when he
was blind. But now as he is healed, he has
to work for his living. When Jesus healed
him, the man received 2 healings. 1) His
physical eyesight and 2) the ability to earn
his livelihood. So Jesus restored everything
to the blind man. But the blind man followed Jesus and became his disciple. All of
us pray for that only one problem that we
are facing. But our God is such a good God
that he will take away all our problems
and restore our happiness with interest.
We cannot have faith for what we do not
know. So we should be aware of these facts
and claim. Otherwise we may just take a
little from God and go away.
Let us examine the case of the 10
Lepers.
Luke 17 : 11 - 16 Says, And it came
to pass, as he went to Jerusalem, that he
passed through the midst of Samaria and
Galilee. And as he entered into a certain
village, there met him ten men that were
lepers, which stood afar off : And they lifted up their voices, and said, Jesus, Master,
have mercy on us. And when he saw them
he said unto them, Go show yourselves
unto the priests. And it came to pass, that,
as they went, they were cleansed. And one
of them, when he saw that he was healed,
turned back, and with a loud voice glorified God, And fell down on his face at his
feet, giving him thanks : and he was a Samaritan.
How many lepers were healed? 10
Lepers were healed. Does a sick person
who has been cured of his sickness, require
the services of a doctor again? No. The services of a doctor are temporary. We do not
need to have a constant relationship with
him. We use his services only when we are
sick. But we need to have a personal rela06

tionship with Jesus who is not our doctor
but our Saviour, God, friend and Brother.
Jesus came to change us into his image.
So we need to know him in this manner.
Out of the 10 lepers who were healed, only
1 thought of Jesus in a different manner.
The 9 lepers thought , "thank God we are
healed" and they went away. Only 1 leper thought of his healing in a different
manner. He thought, "who could this man
be that he healed me of my leprosy?" The
Leper thought of Jesus as an extraordinary
human being. He thought that he became sick because of his actions. Yet Jesus
cleansed him. So there is something very
great of him. So that 1 leper turned around
and said," Lord I need you." The leper was
holding onto Jesus.
Let us see what Jesus said.
Luke 17 : 17 - 19 Says, And Jesus answering said, Were there not ten cleansed?
but where are the nine? There are not
found that returned to give glory to God,
save this stranger. And he said unto him,
Arise, go thy way: thy faith hath made thee
whole.
What is Jesus saying? " Your faith
hath made you whole." But was he not
healed before ? Yes . Then what does it
mean to say that he is being healed again?
What happened? Let us assume that this
man has been a leper for 7 years. Where
does a leper live? A leper lives at the end
of the town or village, on the outskirts.
The lepers are not allowed to come out of
that colony. They cannot mingle with the
society. They will not have family relationships. No jobs, they are outcasts. They live
and die in that colony. As they are social
outcasts, food is thrown at them. They eat
whatever they get and live a secluded life.
That 1 leper who came back got all. Whatever he lost like, family life, job, place and
respect in the society etc. was restored all.
But all the other 9 lepers who were healed
did not receive complete restoration like
him.
We have to choose what kind of
healing we want. We should chose for
the 2nd kind of healing which is healing
and restoration. If we attend the church
regularly, we will receive all that has been
lost and live a life full of great blessings.
All the years from our birth which we have
lost in pain, operations, ill health etc, God
will count all those years and restore double fold. So did the 9 lepers receive the real
healing or the 1 leper who returned? God
gave complete healing and complete comfort to the 1 leper who returned. All of us
will receive complete healing and comfort
if we are constant in our faith and hold
onto it.
The blood of Jesus covers everything.
It covers the whole loss, for God maintains
a list of our loss and shame. He will double
fold the blessing. He is a great good restorer who is capable to give us in abundance.
The 9 lepers received an ordinary comfort
of just being healed of that disease. But
the Lord restored everything to that 1leper and the woman with the issue of blood.
The blind man who was healed was made
a disciple and was given the power to heal
many other blind people. The healed blind
man was changing lives. For this reason, we
should not ask small benefits from God.
We should expect big and great blessings
from a great big God. Whatever damages
that have been caused by Satan will be restored double fold. We may think that our
depressing state may not
