This idea of rock climbing, however, omits the scenic views, amazing flow of acoustics and the emotional boost inclusive in the rock climbing sports package. I recently had the privilege of chatting to inspirational rock climber, Gosia Lipinska, who has been climbing for 10 years and holds the record as the first woman climber in South Africa to climb Dream Street Rose on the Cape Peninsula. Gosia speaks about rock climbing as less of a risk taking sport and more of a life empowering venture, and she tells us how overcoming rock climbing obstacles is helpful in overcoming life situations we might face on a day to day basis.
