FB: How does someone become a part of the Team?

Greg: People ask us all the time to sponsor them. That’s not how it works. What happens is the Team recognizes you as someone that embodies the best parts of the sport and we are sure that you will contribute. That’s the important part, you need to contribute. You only get out of this Team what you put in to it. When NoBull first started it was Richard, my son Dawson and all of the Carve Skateshop and HGR crew. We started with about a dozen riders. Some of them like Brian Cortright, Rachel Rayne and Andrew Petrov have since moved out of Texas to pursue their passion for longboarding. At first we had no idea what we had started; now we have grown to over a 100 team members as far away as Canada. To us and the members of NoBull it’s a big deal being a part of the Team. When you become a member it really means that you are the embodiment of what is great about the sport of longboarding.

Richard: You become a part of the team once a member suggests you and everyone agrees. You become a member when you get a shirt. Only Team members get a shirt. In order to be a part of the team you must represent the best of the best. We want longboarding ambassadors. Being the best doesn’t necessarily mean the best rider it means you represent the sport well and you are involved. It means you bring more than just skating and winning, you are always pushing yourself and others to be the best. Getting involved might mean taking pictures or doing Longboarding For Peace or throwing a race – there are lots of ways to be involved beyond skating. As a team we don’t tolerate drama or kooks – we support and encourage racing and stoke. If your plan is to just get a shirt and then not do anything to help the team than Team NoBull is not for you. Everyone needs to contribute, that’s what makes the Team great.
