Jess ’ s story

Through the pandemic , we have continued to include real patients in our teaching sessions for pharmacy students . We supported the patients to feel as confident as possible navigating the virtual environment . Some did struggle initially with switching their camera on and un-muting themselves but they soon got the hang of it . Their feedback was positive , as this example shows :
“ I was very pleased to be asked to do it and was glad that I eventually got the hang of putting my camera on in Teams . Obviously , it was a different experience to being there in person and not knowing how it was received by the students in the same way as normal … For the future I would be happy to participate in either approach ”.
