Building and sustaining relationships

Collaborating with our local stakeholders and communities
Keele Deal | Health is a commitment between Keele University and local healthcare partners to address the region ’ s health and care priorities . It builds upon relationships that the University has with key health , care and industry partners , as well as patient , public , carer and service user groups across the local region . During the past year , we have engaged with our local stakeholders and communities following the official launch of Keele Deal | Health . In 2021 , we held three online meetings with a range of patients , public members and service users to shape future Keele Deal | Health activities and the development of a regional Innovation Hub . This culminated in an online workshop in May 2021 , where we brought together members of the public , representatives from health and social care services and Keele academics to consider their priorities for Evidence-based Service Transformation , including :
• the health and social care workforce challenges of today
• accelerating the uptake of quality research evidence
• supporting the quality of health and social care
• implementing and evaluating new models of care .
As we emerge from the pandemic , the Faculty will support opportunities for public involvement and engagement as part of the new Keele Deal | Recovery initiative to help strengthen the recovery of local communities and economies following Covid-19 .
