Fuels has signed a new five-year supply
deal with Valero. This fresh agreement
underpins the 69-year Texaco association
between the two companies, and continues
the strong relationship previously built over the
years.
“We are delighted to sign another five-
year agreement. The relationship as a Texaco-
branded distributor with Valero has been
an important foundation of our business for
many years and we are very pleased to see this
continue moving forward,” said Richard Huxley,
NWF Fuels’ managing director.
“With an annual turnover in excess of
£400m and NWF Fuels’ fleet of more than 90
tankers spanning much of England and Wales,
Valero is well positioned to provide the strong
commercial support and supply infrastructure
that NWF Fuels require to develop and fulfil
their ongoing business strategy,” said John
Davis, Valero’s manager of commercial fuels.
“And it is particularly pleasing to extend
this agreement given the long history that
Valero has in supporting the NWF Fuels
business. Over the years, we have proved our
ability to adapt our business to ensure we
continue to meet the changing needs of NWF
Fuels’ customers.
“This new agreement represents Valero’s
continued commitment to supporting our
distributors and the longevity of the Texaco-
branded distributorship.”
NWF Fuels is key to the supply
infrastructure, drawing fuel from Valero-owned
terminals at Manchester, Kingsbury, Cardiff,
and Avonmouth.
Valero are also opening up avenues at
Grays terminal to further extend the supply
chain’s reach to NWF Fuels.

Performing above all
expectations
B
ack in 2017 the Craggs Energy Group launched an incentive scheme to
reward staff who had performed above all expectations throughout the
year.
In addition to, rather than in lieu of staff’s normal commission/bonus
opportunities, the incentive scheme proved to be extremely successful with
everyone having a great time learning to ski on the first incentive trip in 2018.
Anticipation for this year’s ski trip was high with staff eager to know
when winners’ names would be released, whilst others did some secret
passport research in the background and looked for flight bookings!
The eight winning names were announced at the Christmas party in
December with drivers, sales staff and a heating engineer among the winners.
“Acknowledging that people are the company’s greatest strength, Craggs
Energy chooses to offer staff such opportunities in recognition of their high
calibre work,” explained managing director, Richard Wallace.
“A fantastic weekend in Morzine followed in January where everyone
was pushed out of their comfort zones as they enjoyed doing something
completely different.
“With free ski lessons for all on a daily basis, additional coaching was also
on offer for those more experienced, ensuring everyone returned exhausted
but exhilarated and up for their next work challenges!”
