A diagnosis of celiac disease in children is nothing to be happy about, but it can be taken with heave of sigh knowing that it is manageable. Let the child understand the disease and its treatment, but without making him/her feel that he/she is in any way ‘unusual’. Let the child understand the significance of diversity and how being different makes each person special.
