Tell me a little bit about you!

My name is Bailey. I am twenty five years old and I am a work at home mom. I have a two year old daughter.

How long have you been a WAHM?

I have been a stay at home mom for three years. I started working from home in September 2011 when I started my crocheting business. After that I joined Vault Denim in July 2012 and then Tastefully Simple!

What did you do BEFORE you became a WAHM?

I was a store manager of a shoe store.

Why did you decide to become a WAHM?

I have always wanted to be a sahm. I want to teach my children rather than have someone else do it. It is a blessing to be able to watch your children grow every second.

What is the best part of working from home?

Watching your children grow and learn.

What do you like the least?

I don’t get out of the house as much as I would like to!

What would you tell someone who wants to work at home, but doesn’t think they could?

Some advice I would give them would be to write out your budget. See if you can afford it. Try to find a way to work from home.

What is something that you wish you knew before you became a wahm?

The house doesn’t clean itself!

Do you think working from home is for everyone?

No.

Do you see yourself still WAH in 5 years from now?

I sure hope so!

What advice do you offer new WAH moms?

Make it a point to find ways to get out of those house and get your children to interact with others.

Do you think more companies should offer the opportunity to work from home?

I absolutely think that more companies should offer moms the chance to work from home!

What myths do you want to debunk about being

a WAHM?

Not all jobs are scams! You can make great money working from home!

What is the toughest part of being a work from home mom?

You have higher standards of your daily chores when you are at home daily. Also, not getting out of the house

as often.

Is it hard for you to keep your work & home life separate?

Sometimes it is, yes.

What is your secret to not letting your work life consume your family time?

You have to set your work hours! For instance I work a total of eight hours a day. Also and/or after my family sleeps.

What do people say when you tell them you work at home?

I don’t think I’ve ever had a reaction other than positive ones.

Where do you think is the best place to look for work at home jobs?

Anything direct sales

is best.
