Public Defender. Commissioner
Hardemon is still practicing law at: The
Law Offices of Keon Hardemon, P.A.
He also owns a tax preparation and
filing firm called: Miami Tax Masters
where they want you to “Let a lawyer
do your taxes.”

Commissioner Hardemon was
first elected to the Board of City
Commissioners in November of 2013,
and subsequently re-elected in 2017.
He served as Vice-Chairman of the
board of the City of Miami in his first
two years of office but then served
as Chairman the next three years in
2016, 2017, and 2018. He was the first
Chairman to serve three consecutive
years, under two different mayors.
As commissioner, he championed the
creation of a city-wide anti-poverty
program which the City of Miami uses
to reduce the levels of poverty in each
of the commissioner’s districts.
Additionally, the commissioner
also serves as the Chairman of
the Southeast Overtown/Park
West Community Redevelopment
Agency (CRA).
The CRA was created in 1982, to
eliminate slum and blight in an
area long ignored by local, state,
