These are simply a few
words to describe this
year’s 9 Mile Music
Festival held on the
illustrious Virginia Key
Beach Park, Miami,
Florida, on Saturday,
March 9th, 2019.
T
HE festival not only
celebrated the rich
tradition and history
of reggae, dancehall
and inclusiveness, it was also
the 25th Anniversary of the
legendary festival that Cedella
Booker Marley founded in
1993.
As attendees walked through
the gates of the 9 Mile Music
Festival, enjoying the family-
friendly event boasting of an
array of traditional Jamaican
foods and a variety of
experiences including the 9
Mile Moksha Roots Experience
the Drum Circle, featuring
Miami Bloco, Kayaking, live
artists, body painters, the
incredible lineup and more.
Getting a drink or something
to eat was a breeze as vendor s
and bars surrounded the state
and field. Fans stretched out
their blankets or set up their
chairs and event pitched tents
to witness the melodies blown
out by the artist which graced
the stage.
A huge shout out to the
incredible DJ’s Jah Stream,
War Beezy, Mello D, Ricky D,
and Yard Lee who kept the
beach party going strong.
And to Papa Keith, of 103.5
The Beat, who joined as a host
alongside Instagram sensation,
I Am Pretty Vee, and Lance-O
(Kulcha Shok.)
