remember Exodus: Gods and Kings
(2014), or better yet Gods of Egypt
(2016)? White-washing much? I
digress!
It is amazing when even days after
the movie opened, the conversation
still rages on. Radio stations are still
urging the masses to buy tickets
and go watch Black Panther. So,
some are watching not once, not
twice, but multiple times. This is
something akin to when James
Cameron’s Titanic (1997) premiered,
and the Leo-mania that pulled
some especially girls and women to
watch the movie up to 13 times! The
same radio stations are also asking
people to call back after watching
and talk about their favourite scenes
and impacts from the movie. I have
also seen student organizations
at colleges scheduling discussion
times to reflect on it, while some
other folks wonder where the sequel
will go to, after the last post credit
scene. Shame on me for missing the
second post credit scene, argghhhh!
I would love to write a bit more
about the character developments
such as King T’challa to M’baku
and Erick Killmonger, and how their
various character personalities help
the anecdotes. Did I also mention
