2018- 2022:

300 LFAs x 3 courses per year x 20 participants =

18.000 C License coaches per year x 5

years = 90.000 coaches

150 000 C License coaches until 2022.

With the temporary suspension of the CAF/SAFA A, B and C License coaching courses this has not deterred SAFA from reaching this objective and further educating 1394 coaches with a SAFA D coaching badge and helping them with the start of their coaching journey.

TALENT IDENTIFICATION

There is a lot more emphasis being placed on the youth and setting up competitive league structures and competitions (SAFA SCHOOLS, SAFA NATIONAL LEAGUES, SAFA NATIONAL

CHAMPIONSHIPS, RESERVE LEAGUES). Where players can be identified and selected, it will only be a

matter of time before the roots will bear fruits and the country will benefit with players progressing through a continuous system to their respected national squads.

AS WE STAND

Tremendous strides have been made to achieving vision 2022, however there is still a lot of work to be done to achieve this vision. With the work SAFA have been doing to get there and the improvements made there has been in developing football in SOUTH AFRICA. I am confident it is not just a dream. All eyes will be on 2022 Qatar as the real measure and whether the vision was a success or not.
