very child deserves to be loved and
respected. You might not love everything
about the child, but there is always
at least one thing to love about a young,
innovative, curious mind.
Nick is one of the special boys that I have
known in my 15 years of teaching who sticks
out in my mind as being a doubter of his
own abilities and a success in the end. Nick is
diagnosed with ADHD.
Throughout our two years together (I was
blessed to be his 1st-grade teacher and then
loop up to 2nd grade with him), Nick, his
parents, and I worked hard to figure out the
right medication to give him to help him with
