FAMOUS REFUGEES
SFebruary 2017 – Photo exhibition – Students from XI D made a photo exhibition in the school lobby, then students from the X th and XI th forms visited the exhibition and expressed what they felt by writing messages. The activity was coordinated by the English teacher Alina Cioculeasa.
Some of the most touching messages are:
”Do not wrap our hearts in wire!”
”The lifeboat of hope!”
”Do not judge the hopeless!”
”A boat full of hope in the ocean of despair!”
”Less pain, more tolerance!”
”Build bridges, not fences!”
”Let the children come to me, let the children be!”
”Open your mind to let good thoughts in!”
”They come in waves, by waves… Wave hands to welcome them!”
”They are just souls whose intentions are good, do not let them be misuderstood!”

The Geography teacher Elena Preoteasa came up with interesting facts for the lesson FAMOUS REFUGEES. Thus, the students learned more about the lives of : Albert Einstein, Madeleine Albright, Frederic Chopin or Victor Hugo, Sigmund Freud, Freddie Mercury, Dalai Lama, Marlene Dietrich, Bob Marley and Gloria Estefan. Students communicated in Romanian and English. - March 2017
