FISD Interact students prepare hundreds of books to be distributed during a Halloween event at Frisco Fire Safety Town. FISD Interact is a community service organization comprised of students from Centennial, Frisco, Heritage, Lebanon Trail and Lone Star high schools. Diesel is just one of many goats, lambs, pigs and cattle housed at the FISD Project Center as students prepare for livestock shows throughout the spring semester. Caring for and preparing animals for exhibition is part of the District’s agricultural science program. As part of Wester Middle School’s “Sonnenblitz,” students took pictures while reading Jordan Sonnenblick books. The campus read a total of 175,000 pages during the reading program. FOCUS | 39
