CONSTRUCTION UPDATE
There has been some amazing progress
onsite since Christmas, with ADCO and
its sub-contractors pushing through at an
incredible pace and will now hand over the
phase 1 component of the facility almost
two weeks prior to the contract date, much
to the appreciation of the Saints players,
coaches and staff.
The external landscaping works are now
completed, with the turf and paving on
the oval side being designed to encourage
patron viewing, and the car parking
asphalt and vegetation accommodating
significantly more vehicles than the
previous car park.
Inside, the ceiling, wall and floor finishes
are now completed with final touches being
applied where needed. Audio visual items
are being installed and the facility is almost
ready for the players to start using it as
their training base for the 2018 season.
Once handed over, demolition on the
remaining component of the Huggins
Stand will commence after Easter. Once
these phase 2 works are completed in
November 2018, it will provide significant
public spaces including the main foyer,
shop, museum, café, oval changerooms and
community tenant accommodation.
