Nash Pongsai graduated from Manufacturing Engineering Technology in 2018 , Electro-Mechanical Technology in 2019 , and is finishing Automation Engineering Technology in 2020 .
New programs to launch careers , meet employer demand
Future Eagles now have more options for increasing their career opportunities and earning potential . Several new NWTC academic programs have recently been launched or are in development .
One of the new programs , Echocardiography associate degree , will prepare students for a pivotal role in health care . Graduates will produce cardiac ultrasound images to assist in the process of a medical diagnosis .
“ Most hospitals have a desperate need for echocardiography technicians ,” said Riley McDermid , associate dean , NWTC Health Sciences . The program starts in summer 2021 and is accepting applications .
Other new programs , all designed to meet employer needs , include Fire Protection Technician , Landscape Technician , HVAC / R Fundamentals , and Healthcare Business Professional . Learn more at nwtc . edu / NewPrograms .
