Forever Rose: Free Verse
Walking alongside the waves
Feelings the winds, gentle breeze
No longer do we feel like slaves
We can finally be at ease
Laying in a field of roses
The scent bringing you peace
All those bad memories close
And you are now released
Rain hits your skin
He comforts you
He’ll bring his hand down your chin
Now you know what’s true
Nothing ever dies
Unless you lose hope
When I’m with you, all I see is blue skies
But I’m a rose
I need to know
If you’ll keep me until we’re old
Or will I travel the unknown, alone
Love is Patient: Cliche
Once upon a time
There was a lonely heart
People tell me
There are plenty of fish in the sea
Could being alone ever make me happy
Then I see you
It’s love at first sight
I didn’t think
Love comes when you least expect it
Before I met you
My heart was broken like glass
But time heals wounds
I guess you can say,
Everything happens for a reason
I’m scared of losing you
Love is patient
Love is blind
Maybe we’re opposites
But opposites attract
