Hello ! I ’ m Pooja and I ’ m your new History & Alumni Rep for 2021 / 22 . This year I will be maintaining the LMSS archives and updating our alumni with what the society has been up to . Hopefully I will also be able to plan a great Alumni Dinner next March ! This year I want to expand alumni involvement with the current society and share some of their words of wisdom with our current students .

I ’ m hoping to promote female doctors to access more male-dominated specialities . My role within the LMSS is relatively new , but I am aiming to empower women and our self-confidence within society . Annual Ball Secs - Peter Cox
( he / him ) and Emily Bird ( she / her ) Hi everyone !! We are Peter and Emily , and we are delighted to be your Annual Ball Reps for 2021 / 22 ! Our Boogie Wonderland theme will bring funky , fresh disco vibes , whilst we whisk you back to the 70s and 80s for the biggest event of the year ! I ’ m Emily , from Liverpool , and I am so excited for all the planning that is to come and cannot wait to see everyone on the night !! I ’ m Peter , from Belfast , and this year I ’ d love to see as many people get involved in the LMSS as possible and feel like the society is their own . Charity Dinner Sec - Shannon Collings ( she / her ) Hi everyone !! I ’ m Shannon , I ’ m your charity dinner rep this year and I ’ m so excited to get organising !! I haven ’ t missed a single event and it ’ s always one of the best nights of the year so I hope I can make this one as special . I ’ ve chosen to support Refugee Women ’ s Connect , an amazing charity helping asylum seekers and refugees in Liverpool . My theme this year is ‘ Masquerade ’, with a black and gold colour scheme . There will be a 3 course dinner with lots of entertainment . The annual bar crawl follows two weeks later where we meet again to visit some of the best places Liverpool has to offer .
LGBT + Rep - Lydia Nutting ( she / her )
Hii I ’ m Lydia and I ’ m the new LGBTQ + rep for 2021 / 22 !! I will be going into second year and I ’ m looking forward to being part of the LMSS committee . I will be organising some events celebrating the LGBTQ + community starting off with Pride this month , and I will be working with the other diversity reps to make sure everyone feels part of the medical school .
