From trauma to tropical medicine , we cover it all in our weekly hands-on teaching sessions , with plenty of scenarios to put your skills into practice . BME medics liverpool
Hi it ’ s BME Medics Liverpool ! We ’ re a society that aims to uplift the voices of all students with a focus on black and ethnic minority students . This year , we have hosted a diversity paneland speciality talks show-casing BME doctors , here in Liverpool . Also , hosting peer mentoring sessions throughout the year . University life is not without its challenges and being a medical student can be overwhelming at times . No one should feel as though they are alone , unsafe or unsupported . The current situation has made connecting with others difficult and as a society we feel it is important to look out for one another . We are working hard to create peer support drop-in sessions providing a non-judgemental spacewhere you can express yourself and be listened to . We understand as students ourselves why accessing services may feel daunting , but we hope you would feel comfortable speaking to us . We are always happy to have a chat with anyone who wants to . MADsoc - Medics Against Discrimination
MADsoc aims to advocate for equality and inclusivity in healthcare and medical research . All of our events so far have been online , however we ' ve made the most of it and have had some incredible speakers including Professor Dame Elizabeth Nneka Anionwu .
