Freshers guide 2019-20 freshers guide 2019-2020 | Page 12

Welcome to Liverpool freshers! My name’s Steph, I’m in 5th year and I’m organising the LMSS Charity Dinner for ‘KIND’ which I think is a pretty spe- cial charity. I’ve been to this event every year and this will be my last one which is why I’m so pleased to be able to organise it for you all and give you a great night. It’s an opportunity for you to dress all fancy and have a fun night with your mates until the others trundle on in later! My theme this year is “Under the Sea” with a three course meal and after dinner entertainment, which is a surprise…so don’t be asking around! Two weeks after the dinner we get to go on a bar crawl all together again around some of the bars in Liverpool! Looking forward to meeting you all on BUS TOUR for a crazy night! Stephanie Cheetham, 5th year Love from Steph xoxo ANNUAL DINNERS Hi Guys! I’m Ben and I’m your Annual Bar Crawl and Dinner rep. But what does that involve I hear you ask? Well, once Freshers’ Week and BUS TOUR hangovers are firmly out the way, we commence with Annual Bar Crawl. Without a doubt this is the best night of the year. Meredith and Imagine enjoying a huge Hannah night with your mates Ioan of Wardaugh, year throughout the many pubs Liverpool. 3rd Beginning at the (in)famous Brookhouse Pub on Smithdown Road, we’ll take buses into the city centre and crawl around the best bars Liverpool has to offer. Once our whistles are suitably wetted, we’ll then join the others at their Charity November Dinner in aid of KIND. Two weeks later, painful waiting... We’ll be having our very own Annual Dinner in aid of CALM (Campaign Against Living Miserably). We will have a fine meal served at one of Liverpool’s famous hotels, Ben Cottam, 5th year The Adelphi. After this, some amazing post-dinner entertainment in the form of a boxing match between members of the medical school! We’re still looking for fighters, so if you fancy your chances, feel free to give me a message! These events are some of the best in the calendar, and both are in aid of two amazing charities. So make sure you get your tickets as soon as they come out in October! Have the best Freshers’ Week! 11
