N THE 27TH SEPTEMBER
2015, 80,000 diehard
motocross fans
descended upon Ernée in
France for the 69th edition
of the Monster Energy FIM Motocross
of Nations. With US / European moto
rivalry at an all-time high, 2015 saw
one of the best Motocross of Nations
in the event’s history.
Leading up to the event, both Team
USA and Team France had been
pipped as two of the front-runners, but

no one could have predicted that just
two points would separate the teams
after the three motos.
In the end it was the home nation and
defending MXoN champions, Team
France, who walked away with the
prestigious Chamberlain Cup, safe in
th e knowledge that they are the fastest
moto nation on the planet… until next
year!
And speaking of next year, 2016
will see the FIM Motocross of

Nations return to the famous track of
Maggiora in Italy on the 24th and 25th
September. This track played host to
one of the most memorable Nations in
history back in in 1986, when America
managed to walk away with a full clean
sweep, finishing all three motos with a
1-2 standing. Following their frustration
at this year’s event, Team USA will
definitely be looking for a repeat
performance in Maggiora next summer.
