ALVARO’S X GAMES
Quarter Pipe
Best Trick
In a disappointing turn of events
Jackson Strong and Taka Higashino
did not take to the track. Taka had a
broken foot sustained in practice, while
Strong lacked the right set-up for his
trick and therefore decided not to take
the risk and jump. All the riders were
on the track, except for the Texan Davi
Johnson, whose intended trick was
still a mystery at this point. Only a few
riders took advantage of the warm up
session, then it was go time.

The Texan took off first and threw a
version of the Volt, but he landed badly
and slammed. The jump left a lot to
be desired and lacked strength and
commitment. The concept was good
but it needs a bit more work before
Davi has it dialled and it’s ready for X
Games.
